If you're looking for a course that can help your upper elementary child improve their research, citation, essay writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency skills, regardless of their reading and writing abilities, look no further.. As a certified TESOL and TEFL teacher, I specialize in working with children who have language-based disabilities and second language learners. I am confident that this class will assist in their academic studies. Reading and writing go hand-in-hand, and it's important for learners to respond to reading through writing. With my expertise, I can help your child with reading responses and essay composition in different writing modes such as informative, opinion, and persuasive. We will cover a range of topics, from close reading and annotating a text to summarizing nonfiction and fiction texts using specific strategies. Additionally, we will analyze vocabulary, identify the author's purpose and perspective, and trace the plot of a story using a graphic organizer. Each tutoring session will be tailored to meet your child's needs and can even include homework help. Contact me to schedule a session at a time that works for you, and I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule. And remember, Outschool has a Happiness Guarantee Policy, so please refer to that for refund policies for ongoing classes.

As a licensed elementary school teacher in the state of Texas, I am deeply committed to my profession. My extensive education, including a Master's in Curriculum and Ed.S in Educational Technology, has allowed me to work in several states across the country, giving me a broad range of experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of students, including those with severe physical, mental, and cognitive issues, as well as students diagnosed with High Functional Asperger’s. I have also spent time working as a special education teacher and online ESL and private teacher.
Teaching is not just a job for me, it's a passion. As an English Language teacher, writer, and teacher trainer, I take immense pleasure in imparting knowledge to students who require scaffolding instruction to succeed. I am equally adept in conducting webinars for teachers on a variety of subjects. My forte lies in working with small groups and individuals, as it gives me the opportunity to help them achieve their aspirations. My wide range of interests allows me to teach a diverse set of courses, and I enjoy project-based courses that incorporate reading, writing, math, and technology skills, with a focus on history and cultural awareness. I believe in making learning an enjoyable experience for my students.
Finally, I find inspiration in the lives of Abraham Lincoln and Malcolm X, two historical figures who never let failure stop them from achieving success. In my work as a teacher, I strive to embody their resilience and determination, helping my students to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
I am deeply passionate about learning! I have been pursuing my educational journey by attending numerous workshops while pursuing my graduate degree. I have earned my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Technology, Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Additionally, I have an Associate degree in Early Childhood and a TESOL certification in English as a Second Language. My expertise extends to being a certified Language teacher with a focus on Phonics, English as a Second Language, and Language-based Disabilities.
In addition to working for Outschool, I have a business “Michelle’s Innovations” and provide services as an

I have experience as a teacher in public schools and have received training in multiple subjects such as science, writing, reading, math, and geography. I have taught students from PreK to 9th grade in these subjects and hold certifications in resource, teaching, and ESL. My favorite subjects to teach are science, reading, writing, and geography, and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach these subjects to students who are passionate about them.
I have had the privilege of living in various regions of the United States of America due to my husband's previous service with the Navy. Furthermore, my father's teaching career has taken my family to Europe, where we have resided for a significant amount of time. I firmly believe in the importance of sharing and fostering a sense of global community.
