This class is for more advanced young writers (see prerequisite below). Most students in this class will have already taken my Reading and Writing Part 1 class and will have the teacher's permission to move to this class. In this class students will be shown a short list of sight words. As a class, we will read and practice the sight words together. Using a simple story theme, students will take turns choosing a sight word off the list and creating a sentence with it that fits into our theme. The teacher will write the sentence down and the students will copy the sentence down onto their paper. Students will read the sentence back to the teacher.  We will repeat this activity several times. By the time class is over, the learner will have several sentences written that they can read back to their family. Prerequisite - Students must be very comfortable with many simple sight words (go, he, see, up, had, yellow, to, my, is, him,  etc) and must be comfortable with basic writing. Taking the Part 1 of this course is not required, but might perhaps be helpful in determining the readiness of the student for this class.
