Python is a very versatile and most used programming language. In this class students will learn how to create some of the popular video games through the Pygames module. You do not need to install python on your computer but we will use an online editor. Day 1- Day 3 : Brick Breaker Game : Students will learn the basics of how to work on replit and create the famous brick breaker game. The lesson will flow such that students work on various parts of the game and then combine it all together , example the skate board, bricks, the ball and the holder etc. They will learn to add game over screen and put conditionals for it. Day 4 - Day 6 :Space Invader game :Students will learn to programme using functions, conditional statements and loops. They will create the popular space invader game and import graphics to make it realistic. Students will work on how to steer their rocket ship using the right and left direction keys and fire the bullets to defeat the aliens . They will also learn to keep a score and set conditions for game over. Day 7 - Day 10: TRex Dino Run game - The popular google game where the dinosaur has an obstacle course will be created on python by learners. They will learn to create random appearing obstacles , dino costumes and its lifeline. This game is a version of the google game and teaches learners how to implement various modules to make a simple obstacle game using conditionals. The teacher will teach on her screen and the students are required to code along with the teacher. The teacher may ask the student to share the screen for debugging the code.The teacher will show examples of the codes and ask questions to figure out the child's logic for writing the codes. Please ensure you have created your free account on the online editor.Prior knowledge of python is important for this class.
