Conceptos básicos del curso de entrenamiento sobre puntuación para mejorar tu escritura

Could your learner use a brush up on importance punctuation?  Don't let your student take a vacation from punctuation!  In this three week class, your student will learn about the importance and history of punctuation as well as the basic usage of the comma, semi colon, and colon.  These 3 types of punctuation are the ones that give learners the most trouble.

Week One: Covers the importance and history of punctuation and the basic usage of the comma.

Week Two:  Features the semi colon. In this session, we will also discuss what their responsibility as a writer is to their reader.

Week Three:  Discusses the colon.   At the end of week 3, there will also be a review of what was taught.  Each week will have a handout that summarizes what we learned with examples. There will be a paragraph for the student to correct featuring the punctuation of the week.   I teach in a relaxed manner.  Practice will be done to assure knowledge for the week, and any questions will be answered.   Prior knowledge needed:  The learner should be able to understand what a paragraph consists of.  An understanding of parts of speech would be helpful but not required.  I will briefly go over the definitions of a noun, pronoun, prepositional phrase, and common (coordinating) conjunction.  Class Rules:  We mute so we do not talk over one another, we are kind and respectful to everyone, we raise our hand if we have a comment or a question, and we turn our camera on at the beginning of class in order to verify the learner as per Outschool rules.
