2-4 horas por semana. Learners will use the time during the week to prepare and practice their speeches before presenting them in class. Learners are strongly encouraged to submit a general outline of their speech to the teacher before giving their speech so she can follow along as they present it. They can also use the opportunity to ask for feedback before they give their speeches. Since the speeches are about Alexander Hamilton they are required to do additional research for their speeches. They must have one other source besides the facts they learn in class and Hamilton the musical and must give the name of the book or link to the website to the teacher before they present their speech.Evaluación
Speeches will not be graded (though parents can request a grade if they ask ahead of time). Learners will be able to apply the skills they learn in class to their speeches.Calificación

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication, and many my undergrad courses involved Public Speaking. I also really enjoy Public Speaking and want to make it easier for those who are nervous about it.
Growing up as a homeschooled theater kid History and Broadway became two of my favorite things. When I first heard about the musical Hamilton I thought it was an amazing way to combine the two, and I wanted to learn more about them. The American Revolution is one of my favorite periods of history and I always want to learn more about it, since one of my ancestors was an aid to George Washington. I take any and every opportunity that I have to research history and share what I learn with those around me, making sure it is historically accurate. I love History, and teach many history classes on Outschool. I want to pass on that knowledge to others and I think Alexander Hamilton is an important and interesting part of history. I believe it is important to find fun and interesting ways to introduce academic subjects to learners which is what I hope this class will do.
