New Student’s Welcome!! ** While note required-I highly recommend learners taking one of my private Pro-Create classes before joining the group so that we may connect especially if you are on the shy side . I will take the time to learn your personality, interests, learning style, and help you feel a part of the group in a positive way. Please note this class is a group and is meant to be more casual, if you would like individual attention, or to work closely with me on a personal project of yours consider taking my Private Procreate tutoring ** As a young artist, everyone told me in order to become a great artist- “you must practice, practice, practice!!!”. Sometimes this is easier said then done when you experience creative block, have trouble drawing certain things (like those darn hands) or are simply uninspired. With this weekly club, I hope to create a small digital community that inspires passionate artists to practice their craft and over come challenges artists face together! Digital art is a valuable skill that can increase job and freelance opportunities. Even if you are skilled at traditional hand-drawing, it takes time and practice to adjust to digital drawing. I highly recommend young artists familiarize themselves with digital drawing devices, especially while they have the time to dedicate to it. In this group class, students will engage in creating illustrations of their interests. Over time, you will draw lines cleaner, and with increased accuracy. For new iPad and ProCreate users, I will be available to guide students in manipulating the Procreate app and troubleshooting issues they may encounter. This is a great prep class for students thinking about going to college for design. It would be a great opportunity to interact like-minded individuals. I have experience with Cartoon, Realism, Kawaii, Anime, Abstract, Animation etc. This drawing session is perfect for those who are new to drawing, drawing on the iPad, or relatively new and would like to gain some artist insight. Below is an outline of the class structure to help you get an idea of what you can expect in this 55 min. session (I will adjust this structure unique to the student). Showcase At the start of class, students may take turns sharing artwork they have made within the last week. Find a Topic The topic of this class will be learner-directed or dictated weekly due to current events/happenings. I will ask everyone what they would like to draw today. If students haven't got any ideas, I will suggest topics according to the students interest, age and level. (This may include animals, food, hands, eyes, etc.) Students are free to draw a different topic , collaborate with other students, follow the teacher, or create their own style independently. Set-up and Draw! Together we will set up out project and pick our tools. I am very familiar with iPads, and the Procreate app so I can assist students with any questions they may have. Showcase If time allows, Students will share their art with the class! I may allow students to show their progress throughout the class through screen sharing or holding up their iPad to the web camera. Goodbyes Students and teacher will share a goodbye. During class I will mute students to ensure everyone can focus (Or maybe play some background Lofi). Students may write comments/questions in the chat, or raise hands to speak. We can discuss the drawing method, student's interests, or I will interview the students with open questions. I wish to make the conversation natural, and easy-going so students are comfortable within the online classroom.

When learning a language, you must exercise use your brain to think in that language. When the student knows they can easily be told the answer, it affects how much effort they put in. Students who don’t take the time to think, will have difficulty mastering further material, or will easily forget what they have just learned. Instead of telling your child the answer, I will walk them through the thinking/speaking process of a native speaker. Sometimes this means sounding out a sentence, or re-reading a short story. Doing so, will increase their response speed.

I like to teach my students to recognize patterns in the English language, and to ensure they can pronounce sounds more naturally. We may discus what is acceptable in formal and informal situations. This equips children with tools to pronounce new words independently, and to develop an English native’s view.
