If you love digital art, cute animations, and kawaii designs, this is the perfect club for you! This class is great for learners who are new to Procreate and for those who already have some experience. We will alternate week to week from drawing to animating. 

I start every class by introducing the week's drawing or animation. I'll discuss ways the design might be adjusted to make it unique for each learner's style. We will then open up Procreate and start designing. I walk through each step, where the buttons are located, and how to use them. Most classes are broken up into the following chunks: sketching, outlining, coloring, and detailing. Anyone who feels comfortable will get the chance to share their creations at the end.

I do not like to rush students in their art and I will often give them the space to work at their own pace. This means that, as class time progresses, I will work with students individually to get them started on the next steps. This will result in some students finishing their work early, some on time, and some may need additional time outside of class to finish. I always demonstrate all of the steps by the end of our scheduled class time so that, at the minimum, all students will have seen the steps, have the opportunity to ask questions, and then may leave if they need to even if not entirely finished with their own project. I am more than happy to provide additional help to anyone who needs it and will remain after our scheduled time to finish up with those who ask. Your student is never expected to stay beyond the scheduled class time. All class recordings will be available so that students may go back and rewatch the steps when needed. Recordings are available for three months. 

This is a digital art class, so students won't be able to participate in a majority of the content if they are not also drawing digitally. I will be instructing with Procreate on an iPad. It will be best if your learner has the same app. It can be downloaded from the Apple store for $12.99 and is compatible with most iPads. Your student can use another drawing app, but my instructions and advice may not be as helpful coming from a different application. An Apple Pencil will greatly enhance the ease of drawing digitally. If you have a drawing pencil, I recommend it. However, it is possible to draw on Procreate using your finger. I've done it before myself. It will take a lot of patience and may not be as easy but it's an option for persistent and motivated learners.
