In every class, I will begin with a short "catch up" conversation for the first 2 minutes to help the student warm up. Then, we will do a quick 5 minute vocal warm up (if applicable to the student). From there, I will ask the student what his/her song of choice is. We will then discuss the goal in the session, i.e. the student may want to run through specific section of the song, memorize the lyric, learn how to perform it, find the right key for the song, etc. 

The main goal of the course is to cater to the specific singing goals of each student in a welcoming, inviting, judgment-free, comfortable environment. My intention is to help each student come to life in his/her own way through singing!

My teaching style is very open and allows for plenty of conversation for the student to use his/her voice. I encourage questions. My classes are very interactive and include everything from video clips to discussion to slideshows to occasional games.


I will emphasize the following topics/themes:
- fundamental singing technique
- vocal warm ups
- how to choose the best key to sing a song in for your voice
- how to make a song your own, i.e. identifying your approach and voice
