1-2 horas por semana. The homework assigned will include practicing what the student worked on in the lesson. Homework assigned will vary between 1-3 hours each week depending on how much the learner desires to practice.Evaluación
The learner will be assessed through their progress throughout the Suzuki pieces.Experiencia de clase
The violin may seem like a daunting skill to embark on, but I ensure that each student will gain confidence when playing the violin all while having fun! I love having my classes be a space where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, asking questions, and feeling a part of the violin community. Lessons will move from how to properly hold their violin and bow and basic violin techniques to playing pieces and musical theory. As the student progresses, the weekly lessons may vary from working on scales and shifting, to playing different musical pieces and etudes. Private lessons are catered to each student as students come with different skills and interests. The curriculum will be based on the Suzuki method with students being first assessed on what their level is and then progress through the various pieces. Worksheets, exercises, and scales will be given depending on the lesson and students' interests. If the student desires, we can also choose to pick a song or play a duet. I highly recommend students come to the lesson with a pencil and Suzuki Book 1. Please message me if you have questions regarding your learner's violin size, prior violin experience (if any), and any questions you might have! Punctuality policy: If the student doesn't show up to class within 10 minutes of the class start time (unless you've messaged me beforehand explaining that they will be late), I will end the meeting and you will be charged for the lesson fee. To avoid missed lessons, please send me a message and I'll do my best to schedule a make-up lesson time with you!

Lista de útiles escolares
Learners will need to purchase Suzuki Violin Book 1 ($10). Additional books such as music theory books, sight-reading materials, or sheet music may be recommended during lessons but the majority of the materials and sheet music will be available online. Optional items that I believe will aid in learning include a music stand, pencil, tuner, and metronome.
Recursos externos
Los estudiantes no necesitarán utilizar ninguna aplicación o sitio web más allá de las herramientas estándar de Outschool.
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I have played the violin for over 12 years under the tutelage of a professional Suzuki violinist, have taught elementary-aged students how to play the violin in person for two years, and have taught online violin lessons for over two years. Outside of my experience with the violin, I have a passion and desire to share my love of the violin with other students while instilling confidence in them.
