I am passionate about finding an individual approach to each student and their parent. The lessons will reflect that! Some kids thrive in playful style lessons, some kids like to be challenged , there is a unique approach to everyone and I will aim to find it. 

Beginners:
If the child is just starting out, we will likely loosely follow the Suzuki method, mixed with my personal style according to the student's development. I find it very important to develop both the listening skills, and the reading skills, so note-reading learning would be implemented soon after we start. I believe in demonstrating to the student different techniques, so will be on video a lot, showing to the child what to do and how to do it.
If the parent is present during the lesson (recommended), I will also explain to the parent how they can assist the child in learning most efficiently

Improvers:
I will assess the level of the student before coming up with an individual approach on their learning. We will discuss ABRSM/Trinity Grade exams and whether that's something the student and parent are interested in.  We will also discuss what aspect of playing the child is most passionate about, and touch on the ideas of improvisation. 

All times are flexible, age range is only approximate, I am happy to teach people of all ages, adults included.
