This class meets once a week. The content covered in this course will be based on student grade level. Older students are accepted. The pace at which the course will be taught will be determined by the student. The modified thematic curriculum references the Next Generation Science Standards. I ask the parent to share relevant student data that will impact our work. Depending on the topic, this session will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The class is a 40 minute course. I am certified to teach Gifted, Special Needs, and Introverted students. I am certified to teach all science courses. I will provide an inviting, stress-free environment in which your child will thrive. The goal is for your child to reach their full potential.

The students will take an in-depth look at life and the ecosystem. The following topics will be discussed:
 - Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems
 - Animal Social Interactions & Group Behavior
 - Adaptation
 - Inheritance & Variation of Traits
 - Growth & Development of Organisms
 - Natural Selection
The students will learn about the Ecosystem. They will learn to identify the various interdependent relationships. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. Students will learn about social interactions & group interactions amongst animals. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The students will learn how animals and plants adapt. The students will also learn the benefit of natural selection. This will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. Students will also learn how organisms vary based on inheritance and genetic variance. This will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The students do not need to have any prior knowledge. The second 10-week course will pick up where this course leaves off.
