This class covers private percussion instruction of any age and skill level. Whether your child is a beginner or expert, they will have plenty to learn from this custom tailored class. This class consists of lesson material fit for your son/daughter's musical development. Each lesson will be spent perfecting technique, reading music, and performing. Topics covered include but are not limited to: -Concert Percussion -Marching Percussion -Drumset (Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, R&B, Punk, etc.) -World Percussion -Chamber Music

The student will learn history, performance techniques, music reading, chamber musician skills and anything required to perform in their specified area of percussion.

Hello! My name is Calvin and I teach small group /private percussion lessons as well as piano lessons. I have been teaching in a variety of small and large group settings for 10 years. I hold two music degrees, including my Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Licensed K-12) as well as my Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Akron, both being completed in 2019.
I believe every student deserves differentiated instruction according to his/her needs in the classroom so that they can reach their full potential. I am passionate, patient, and excited to see your student grow into a competent musician.
