I have received a tremendous level of enthusiasm for the courses I've created and delivered to students on Outschool. Now, in my Private Math Tutoring sessions, I will work with students either individually or in a small group to promote the highest levels of achievement, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning. Our sessions will be completely customized to the curriculum and learning goals that parents request.

The class cost listed above is for one learner and will decrease based on the number of additional learners enrolled in the section. Please message me for specific rates based on the number of students you would like to create a class for. 

The hallmarks of my teaching and tutoring style are as follows. 

Conceptual Mastery - We don’t learn by memorizing shortcuts and tricks. We learn by building strong conceptual foundations and constantly asking “why.” Students are naturally curious and they thrive in learning environments that simultaneously promote their inherent creativity and give them ample opportunities to practice.

Scaffolded Guided Practice - The most common complaint students have is that their teachers show them how to do one thing and their assignments ask them to do something completely different. I pride myself on being able to sequence material in a way that is logical and allows for mastery at each step of the way.

Creative and Empowering Metacognition - One of the largest problems in education is that of domain dependence - this is the idea that the skills and knowledge students gain in a particular subject or activity are rarely utilized in other areas. By employing the latest metacognitive learning strategies, I guide students to make connections between their subjects and call out our key learning moments with enthusiasm and praise.

Collaborative Learning - Employers want to hire students with strong communication skills and an ability to work well with others. Research consistently shows utilizing collaborative learning structures is the best way to nurture these skills while also ensuring strong retention and a conceptual mastery of the material. My tutoring sessions are at the cutting-edge of employing collaborative learning in online learning environments.
