This course is a private, once per week, curriculum centered, play-based preschool lesson with an experienced Kindergarten teacher. I will encourage learner participation and make your child feel welcome and valued. I will be able to modify lessons according to the individual child's needs and goals to prepare them for Kindergarten, get them interested in reading, and spark life-long learning through fun and interesting topics. Each class will include an activity sheet to be printed at home. I will finish each class with a suggested "bucket list" challenge activity for the week. Students will gain meaningful experience with the ABC names and sounds. They will learn topics that will help prepare them for kindergarten. Students will practice important social skills through interactions with the teacher and their classmates. Throughout the course, we will touch on all the following topics: math, reading, science, music, history, art, and social-emotional skills.

Teaching Philosophy: I enjoy encouraging learners to be involved and engaged through a computer screen with hands-on activities, sharing, getting to know each other, and discussing topics of interest to the learners. Something Fun About Me:
I love camping, traveling, and the great outdoors. I have been to 41 of the 50 states and visited 37 of our inspiring national parks with a goal to visit all 63 of them someday. My 4 children, ages 9, 7, 4 and a baby, have accompanied my husband and I on many of our adventures. My oldest has Down syndrome, and she brings great joy and purpose to my life in raising awareness and teaching others about Down syndrome, diversity, and differences.
