Nivel Beginner - Advanced
Before every class, the learner will send me the name of the song he/she would like to learn that week along with the artist's name. In every class, I will begin with a short "catch up" conversation for the first 2 minutes to help the student warm up. From there, I will play a clip of the song the student selected so we can familiarize ourselves with the tempo, melody, structure, etc. again. We will then learn the individual chords and begin to break the song down into chunks. The main goal of the course is to develop the fundamentals of guitar playing through learning songs. I intend to create a welcoming, inviting, judgment-free, comfortable environment for each student. I hope to help each student develop as a guitarist over the course of our time together. I will emphasize the following topics: - proper finger placement on the neck of the guitar - strumming techniques - chords - the anatomy of the guitar
