Clases particulares de guitarra

This class is a 1-on-1 virtual private lesson where I will work with each individual student on Guitar basics. The class will be tailored to the student on an individual basis taking into account their learning style, age, experience and drive. 

What will be taught? 

How to play the guitar. Songs on the guitar and how to play them correctly, both in tablature and chords. 

What topics will be covered?

Guitar Technique
Basic Music Theory 
Scales and Exercises 
Songs
Sight-reading music, chord charts, and tabs

How is the class structured?

Students under the age of 12 should do one 30 minute session per week. Older students should do 2 sessions per week either back to back for an hour and 30 minute sessions on 2 different days. 

Class structure is guitar exercise, play songs, apply techniques to song, go over practice schedule. 

How will it be taught?

Via zoom I will start at lesson 1 with basic introductions and overview of the class. After that point I will do a call and response exercise where I will play a warmup with the camera on my hands and the student will copy me. After the exercises we focus on the song(s) and integrate the skills from the exercises into it. The pacing and rigor of the course will depend on age and experience. 

What's the teaching style?

Flexible. Every student comes from a different walk of life and has a certain level of experience and natural talent. The style I select will also take into account any learning disabilities or neurodivergence that could affect cognition and will shape the style. Each student will get instruction tailored specifically to them. 

How much will learners get to interact?

The lesson will be interactive all throughout. They will be unmuted with cameras on the entire time and will do more of a kinesthetic lesson model where it’s about actually doing the skills instead of just lecturing
