Clase privada de vocabulario avanzado (7.º a 10.º grado), 8 sesiones durante 4 semanas

The goal of this course is to learn new vocabulary words and how to incorporate the words into our everyday language.  We will focus on eight vocabulary words from the National Reading Vocabulary lists for 7th-10th grade each week. 


Each class will start with learning eight new vocabulary words along with their part of speech, synonyms, and ways to use the word in a sentence. I will encourage the learners to use the new vocabulary word in a sentence to demonstrate their understanding.

After we have learned and practiced our eight new vocabulary words, we will have a Kahoot game to test their understanding of the new words we learned.

Week One: potent, stupor, ration, forgo, fabricate, infringe, lucrative, muffle
 Week Two:   stern, frigid, hubris, ghastly, madden, obligate, pacify, onerous
Week Three: prolong, gusto, premonition, mediate, deride, demeanor, deliberate, coagulate
 Week Four: bustle, allay, dilate, hinder, wield, tranquil, trisect, fervid
Week Five: outlandish, opaque, paramount, incoherent, immaculate, fortitude, grapple, 
                          madden
Week Six:  hubris, efface, contemplate, vogue, accord, degenerate, precede, prim
Week Seven: magnate, maudlin, obsequious, paucity, conspicuous, dolor, beguile, 
                          economize
 Week Eight: transpire, veracity, lithe, travail, miscreant, pedant, vagabond, dissipate
