For students new to Portuguese, this course introduces learners to level A 1 Beginners Portuguese topic related vocabulary and grammar over the course of of 8 lessons, taught twice a week. 
For other levels of Portuguese, please book an assessment lesson. Lessons will be tailored to your students' learning level and needs accordingly.

Lessons are semi-private with a size of  2:1, perfect for siblings, allowing for a higher focus on each of your student's learning needs. Learning will take place in a natural and interactive way, with each lesson building upon the previous, allowing for practice in a variety of forms to best assimilate and apply concepts and promote independence and enthusiasm to communicate. 

No prior knowledge of Portuguese is required.
The use of A 1 Beginners Portuguese for Children text book is optional. 
Additional resources to support and complement your young learner's learning journey will be provided throughout the course, as will individual feedback after each lesson.

Topics include:

Week 1: Introducing Myself
Introduction to the definite articles [o/a] and the verb [ser]/ first person singular

Week 2: Introducing Myself
Introduction to the indefinite articles [um/ uma] and the verb [ter]/ first person singular

Week 3: Identifying Others
Practicing the verb [ser]/ third person singular
Asking and Answering Questions
Reading and Pronunciation Practice

Week 4: Using Colors to Describe the World Around Me
Introduction to Colors
Further practice of the verb [ser]

Future lessons will follow according to A 1 and 2 level Beginners Portuguese content in mind, or Intermediate Portuguese accordingly.  

 

CANCELLATIONS AND LATE ARRIVALS:

Please review our meeting schedule before enrollment. Due to my teaching schedule and other commitments,  I cannot reschedule missed lessons unless arrangements have been made beforehand. 

However, because life happens, if after enrollment your learner is unable to attend a meeting, I will offer a one time courtesy refund or make-up class (according to availability) for the missed lesson so long I am notified within 24 hours before start time.

Unless informed ahead of time, if a learner does not arrive within the first 10 minutes of class, the meeting will be canceled.
