Interested in learning to draw and sketch realistic animals to improve your artwork? Then you've come to the right place! Each week we will practice drawing different animals, and you will learn many techniques along the way!

Follow along with me, as I demonstrate step-by-step how to break down the subject (the animal or skull/skeleton we're drawing) into basic shapes, positive vs. negative space, and more! A beginner will absolutely be able to follow along and quickly improve. For this class, you don’t need any drawing experience!

At the end of each lesson, you will have an opportunity to be Spotlighted to share your drawing and progress with me (always optional, some learners decline). All comments or feedback will be positive, uplifting, and kind!

Some learners prefer not to share in class, and they may send their artwork afterwards in Conversations. If they do so, I will write back with positive, uplifting feedback. If a learner doesn't prefer to talk during class, they can use basic gestures like thumbs up/down or head nods and shakes.

Throughout the meeting, I will be sketching from the reference photo on the computer so that learners will see my own methods and techniques projected on their screens without my hand blocking their view (though an overhead view will be available as well). In this 1:1 realistic animal sketch club, learners who are working digitally will be encouraged to utilize traditional sketching tools in the digital format (pencil, colored pencil, and/or ink).

For this 1:1 sketch club, the weeks are organized by a monthly theme, please note that these themes are a guideline, and in this 1:1 class your learner should feel free to request specific features and/or subjects they would like to focus on each week.
