She has a B.A. in Sociology with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. She has homeschooled her own children from Pre-School through (their current) High School. All of her classes are interactive. Annette encourages students to fully participate in class. Annette is a published writer, publisher, and artist. She uses her extensive knowledge and experience to create unique classes for every student. She enjoys teaching science, history, art, and cooking classes. She brings history alive with her "Life in ..." history classes where students learn about key times in history by experiencing children and families' lives in that time period. "Paint like ..." art classes where students will learn about famous artists and create their own artwork based on the artists' works. "Smart Science" classes where we explore science and complete experiments and projects. Kid Cuisine classes are cooking classes for Young Chefs based on historic foods and science topics. Students should be prepared to make, explore, and create during class. Annette knows hands-on, interactive experiences are the best way for children to learn.
