Explore the exciting world of physics. Learn how the things we use every day work. In this class we will explore basic physics including electricity, motion, light, sound, magnets, energy, and motion.

Each week, we will learn about a different aspect of physics. Classes are taught using models, pictures, discussions, and educational science videos. We will also do a topic-specific project at the end of every class.

Day 1: Energy/ We will do a transfer of energy experiment
Day 2: Motion / We will make a cotton ball launcher
Day 3: Electricity / We will do a static electricity experiment
Day 4: Magnets / We will do magnet experiments
Day 5: Light & Sound / We do a sound experiment

Materials needed for this class:
Day 1: 1 piece of paper, 2 disposable plastic or paper straws, tape, 6 glass marbles
Day 2: 1 large round balloon, tape, cotton balls or tissues, AND the top of a plastic water, juice, or soda bottle (Note: Have an adult cut off the bottom of a small soda, juice, or water bottle.
