1-2 horas por semana. Students will need to write a summary of what we read for each class session. Summaries should be at least 5 sentences in length. Make sure to include any specific quotes that stood out to you (with referenced page numbers) as well as any other information or questions you want to bring up during class time. During each class session, we will be "spinning the wheel" to see who gets to read their summary for the rest of us! This will be a great opportunity to showcase what you've learned in class and share it with your fellow classmates. Don't forget to have those page numbers handy so we can all be on the same page (literally). In this class, we will be discussing Pride and Premeditation by Tirzah Price! Lizzie Bennet has work diligently to become a force in the court room, but when she goes toe-to-toe with Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, in a murder case, London is in a tizzy. Can Lizzie keep her new feelings for Darcy in check and focus on her original goal of having a flourishing career or will she get wrapped up in more than she bargained for? Join along for the adventure as we discuss this book!

This class is broken down so that we will be reading (independently at home) and discussing the story as we go along. We will be talking about the different aspects of the book as well as the structure of the story, including the growth of the characters and the arc that the story takes. We will discuss character archetypes, as well as the elements of stories, including inciting incidents and turning points.

Would we suggest this story to a friend? Does the author attain a goal by telling these stories? Were we scared? Would be share these tales around a campfire? Just a few of the things we will be talking about as the story unfolds!

All students are asked to have their cameras on as it helps keep students engaged and encourages conversation. Please raise your hand if you are ready to comment and respect the commentary of all other students by not interrupting.

Orientación para padres
This book is based on the classic story of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, with a bit of a murder mystery tossed in. Therefore, they may be some violence and definitely a romantic subplot mixed in!
