Piano preescolar - Wunderkeys 1 (10 clases)

This 10-week class is an introduction to piano lessons for young beginners, ages 4 - 5 years old. The lessons will build upon lessons from the previous week and progress at the speed of the learners' abilities. Practice between classes is highly recommended. Access to a keyboard/piano and view of the screen while playing is required to participate during class time. 

I will help propel your learner to the next level with serious music theory disguised as fun games, exciting song-writing activities, and easy tunes. I balance a fun, student-centered approach with more traditional models, often replacing arduous theory worksheets with games. In my music classes, my goal is to build a creative, stress-free environment so that my students enjoy the music-making process.

This class is a fun introduction to piano for very young beginners. I recommend very young beginners attend the previous class first, Pre-reading Piano Course: Black Key Patterns. Please contact me if you are unsure if this is the right level class for your learner.

Lesson Structure:
Each class will introduce a new chapter of Wunderkeys Preschool Piano 1 book, including:
* A rhythm clap back activity.
* Counting or pattern recognition activities.
* Introduction to a new duet (teacher and student take turns.)

Time permitting, we will also:
* Play a game reviewing 2 and 3 black key patterns, finger numbers/Wunderbies, kinds of notes, or listening skills.
* Learn (or review) an easy to memorize solo song or duet. (Options include: Hot Cross Buns, Old McDonald, Baby Shark, Hands in the Mirror, Rain is Falling Down)
* Spend time listening and sharing student performances.

Day 10: Wunderkeys Preschool Book 1 Chapter 10 Activities

I will provide a separate recording of the Wunderkeys duets to play along with at-home practice as well as printable music games in the classroom forum.

Students who have attended all ten classes (or reviewed the recordings) and practiced well between classes should be ready to begin Preschool Piano Course - Wunderkeys 2 immediately following
