Aprendizaje preescolar y tiempo social con la Sra. Liz - Hora del círculo preescolar - En curso

This ongoing preschool class is a Circle Time based class, with emphasis on language and social skills. Each week, we will learn about a new theme (each week I will post the new theme in the classroom). 

Our class routine will look like this:

*Hello: Each learner will get to practice introducing themselves and sharing their feeling each day. I understand that some young learners may not feel comfortable speaking up in class right away - this is okay too!

*Calendar Time: We will sing the Days of the Week song and talk about what day it is (if learners are ready and/or if time allows, we can also practice temporal concepts such as "tomorrow" and "yesterday"). Each learner will also have the opportunity to share about their current weather. 

*Letter or Number of the Week: Most weeks, we will learn about a new letter and its corresponding sound OR a number. 

*Theme Based Book: Each week we will read a different book about out weekly theme

*Show N Tell: Learners are encouraged to bring an item relating to our weekly theme to share with the class. Depending on each learner's specific level, they may practice: showing their item to the camera, describing their item, telling why they like their item, giving compliments to peers about their items, etc. 

*Learning Activity: Each week, we will have a learning activity focusing on a specific skill. Targeted skills may include: following directions, counting, rhyming, patterns, colors, turn-taking, fine-motor skills, gross-motor skills, or social-emotional skills. 

**Each week's theme and materials will be posted in the classrooms tab each week. All materials will be things commonly found around a house (paper and crayons, stuffed animals, any item that begins with the "Letter of the Week", etc.). I will also always give options for different materials, as well as options for learners who do not have the materials.
