Fonética, lectura, matemáticas, vocabulario y más desde preescolar hasta jardín de infantes

This reading comprehension, phonics and vocabulary  class includes story time, reading and social skills to build confidence in students and spark an excitement in reading and learning.  This class will teach students quick comprehension methods to understand stories through discussing the setting, characters, problem and solution. We go "beyond" the standard reading to discuss phonics, vocabulary and definition. The thrill of this class is that each class, students will have practice worksheets of short stories their parents and older siblings can read to them.  They can also teach their younger siblings. This class builds confidence for students and sparks an excitement in reading, while helping students gain a positive self-esteem.  This class will also help them develop social skills as well as communications skills, while working and learning in a small group environment.  

EACH CLASS WILL INCLUD THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE - 

A.  HELLO SONG & CALENDAR - Every class will begin with introductions and the "hello song" students will be taught at the first lesson.  Then students will do a calendar exercise to discuss the month of the week 
B. DAYS of WEEK, COUNTING & ABCs - Students will say the days of the week, sing the abc song, and count to 20.  
C.  Phonics Letter of the day.
D. SIGHT WORDS OF THE DAY (I, like, the, and, see, me, we, he/she, you - one new word each day for 2 weeks)
E. STORY TIME and READING COMPREHENSION
G. Review

About Me - 
I have 15 years as a certified K-5 teacher teaching in the United States.  I am excited to teach at Outschool and I look forward to meeting your child.  I will provide a safe and fun class learning environment.  My goal is to meet the needs of all students and their personalities.
