In this Summer Camp, we'll prepare your student for Pre-Algebra this fall by looking at all the most used and fundamental concepts students need to be successful in Pre-Algebra! I will utilize the I do, We do, You do method of teaching. First I will do and explain a problem(s), we will do a problem(s) together, and then the students will practice problems on their own while I check for their understanding. During practice time, students may work together, some students (voluntarily) may be asked to "tutor" or "teach" other students or the whole class to apply the final depth of knowledge, and/or receive 1-on-1 assistance with me in a break-out room. We will meet 2 days per week to allow for sufficient concept building, and practice, while also giving your student a break from the rigor that a typical semester class brings. Because it is Ongoing, you will have the ability to pay on a weekly basis and/or only for the week(s) you deem necessary for your student! Students will receive guided notes and worksheets in the classroom every Monday that correspond to each weeks lesson. Class Structure: 5 mins- Review 20 mins- Instruction 20 mins- Practice (Opportunity for break-out groups and/or 1-on-1 assistance) 2025 Summer Camp Schedule: Week 1: June 9-12: Adding & Subtracting Integers (Positive & Negative #'s) Week 2: June 16-19: Multiplying & Dividing Integers (Positive & Negative #'s) Week 3: June 23-26: Simplifying Expressions Week 4: June 30-July 3: Solving 1 Step Equations Week 5: July 7-10: Solving 2 Step Equations Week 6: July 14-17: Solving Multi-Step Equations Week 7: July 21-24: Introduction to Slope Week 8: July 28-31: Calculating Slope
