Each week in this ongoing class we will draw a Pokémon on a Pokémon card template that I will provide. We will discuss and learn all the stats and abilities for that week's Pokémon and fill out our card. We will draw together with simple step by step instructions and I will provide any assistance needed as we fill out the card together. Students are free to use their imaginations and add to their cards. Students will have the opportunity to share the card they create if they want to but is not required. While we are drawing, we will be able to chat about our favorite Pokémon and, at the end of class, students will be able to share any Pokémon goodies they want (e.g. cards, stuffies, etc.)! This class is great for all skill levels because our drawing will not be too complicated and assistance will be provided for all who need it!

My class setting is a relaxed, fun, open space for all students to be able to discuss and express their thoughts about what we are learning. I encourage student interaction with not only myself but with their fellow classmates. Everyone is expected to be respectful, positive and listen to one another but also feel like they have the ability to share their own thoughts and opinions. I believe learning should be fun and try to provide a space for that to happen.

As a neurodivergent teacher myself, I incorporate different learning styles (visual, hands-on etc.) to make sure everyone is included & is able to find learning styles that work best for them. I strive to find a balance that includes everyone!
