Photographers, scientists, and Pokemon enthusiasts can all agree, Pokemon Snap is a game that steals the hearts of all! Taking place in the Lental Region, your learner will explore the many different environments and learn about the numerous types of Pokemon that live there. We will have discussions about why certain Pokemon live in their environment and talk about the adaptations that allow Pokemon to live in one place over another. We will relate the topics we learn using Pokemon Snap to environments in real life that mirror them closely. This will include talking about behavior in wild animals, adaptations in organisms to their environments, and changes within the environment itself. 

By the end of the class, your learner will know some environmental science terms commonly used in the area, how organisms adapt to their environments, and differences in characteristics between environments!

Week 1: Florio Island Nature Park
Week 2: Florio Island Side Path
Week 3: Founja Jungle
Week 4: Mightwide River 

It is not required for students to have played Pokemon Snap or have a gaming system. All gameplay will be pre-recorded by the teacher and used in class to show the different areas within the game. Students are encouraged to participate in the discussions and share their thoughts and experiences with other science and Pokemon enthusiasts!
