¡Campamento de escritura de poesía Plétora!

As a writer, I like time to write.  We will start with a mini-lesson introducing the form, an example poem and then we will have time to WRITE!  We will pause for feedback and then dive back into writing.  Feedback offered in class will be general to style.  If you or your student would like additional feedback, I am happy to offer that through outschool mail. 

Day 1
Villanelle poem
Structured format that digs deep into the emotions. 

Day 2
Ode poem
Put something or someone on a pedastal. 

Day 3 
Sestina Poem
This is one of the most complicated styles of poetry, but also one of the most beautiful.  

Day 4
Ekphrastic Poem
Deep connection between poetry and art.  A Sylvia Plath favorite. 

Day 5 
Narrative Poem 
Poem that tells a story.
