Nivel Beginner - Advanced
This 4 class Pilates Intensive is designed to give learners the opportunity to get a taste of what Pilates is and experience it firsthand for themselves. During the intensive they will discover fun facts about the method, learn a little bit about its' creator, be introduced to its' many benefits of establishing a regular Pilates practice, and much more. Each class will include a Pilates workout where learners will be encouraged to follow along to the instructor's directions as well as copy her as she demonstrates the exercises. Pilates can help improve concentration, coordination, strength, and flexibility, and ones' overall physical and emotional well-being. A great full-body workout, Pilates can leave participants feeling calm yet energized, focused, and ready to tackle the day. Designed for all levels, from novice to experienced, and specifically for the 13–18-year-old learner. Come join us as we get moving! See you on the mat!

The learner will walk away with a "taste" of what the Pilates method looks and feels like. Pilates is similar to yoga, as there are many exercises that focus on full-body movement.
At times, there will be a focus on breathwork, alignment of the body, exercises to strengthen the belly and back, exercises to strengthen the arms and legs, and exercises that focus on stretching.

The Essentials
In this class, there will be a brief discussion introducing what the Pilates Method is.
Learners will also gain insight on some of the Pilates Principles with a focus on breath and alignment and will have the opportunity to explore a Pilates workout designed to experience these basic principles.

Connect To Your Core
In this class, learners will discover some fun Pilates facts around the creator of the method.
They will gain insight on how Pilates helps to improve both strength and flexibility and experience a workout created to showcase these foundational principles.

Think About It
In this class, learners will get an overview of the many benefits one may experience when practicing the method consistently.
Improving concentration and coordination are key principles of the method and learners will get to experience a Pilates workout designed to explore these foundational concepts.

Let It Flow
In this class, learners will discover some of the many types of people who practice Pilates.
With a brief review of the foundational principles learned in the previous classes, learners will get to explore and experience a Pilates workout designed to string each concept together with an emphasis on flowing through the workout.

- Please fill out the health waiver included in the welcome email ASAP. Make sure to get it back to me at least 24 hours before class starts. Make sure to share any health issues I may need to be aware of prior to the start of class. I do my best to offer modifications for any movers that may need such (as in the neck, knee, back pain, etc.).
PLEASE NOTE THE WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED, COMPLETED, AND RECIEVED 24 HOURS OR EARLIER IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. LEARNERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO JOIN THE CLASS WITHOUT THIS IN PLACE. THANK YOU!
- Please provide an open workout space free of any items that could potentially trip or cause the learner to slip.
- Please encourage your learner to wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in such as yoga pants, sweatpants, t-shirts, slip-free socks, bare feet, etc.
- Please have a water bottle close by in case your learner feels they need something to drink.
- Please note most of the movement is performed on the floor. It would be ideal to have a yoga mat, be in a room with carpet, or have access to multiple towels the learner could lie down on as needed.
- While I will be providing movement instruction and modifications that are designed for beginners, adult supervision is still highly recommended.

I am a comprehensively trained and certified Pilates instructor. I have over 600 hours of training under my belt and have been teaching Pilates for over 14 years and have been a dance and theater educator for over 25 years.
I love sharing my passion and expertise in movement with all ages. I find that a regular Pilates practice can help benefit children and teens by instilling confidence in themselves as they grow strong, focused, centered, and flexible.
