* recognize high and low sounds on the keyboard.
* identify their fingers by standard finger numbers.
* clap and play to standard rhythm notation with quarter, half, dotted half, and whole notes.
* be able to *easily* sight-read and perform songs using rhythm notation and finger numbers.

  * piano, sight-reading, song-writing; 
  * realistic drawing techniques;
  * comic book creations & anime drawing styles;
  * digital arts, Photoshop, graphic design.

As a teacher with over twenty years of experience, I have been running my own piano studio full-time for the last decade. I started learning music in piano lessons when I was four years old and am currently teaching my 15th academic year as a piano teacher. I also am a former public school art teacher, university adjunct professor, swim instructor, dance teacher, and math tutor.

Detalles: Regular practice is an integral part of learning to play an instrument. Students will receive weekly homework based on the classwork, to be completed on a near-daily basis. For the young learners in this class, a practice of 5 to 10 minutes daily with lots of parental help is recommended.
