All students receive a one year subscription to the Task Tracker program available on The Physics Classroom website. With the Task Tracker Gina can assign individual tasks to a student or a group of students, based on what the student(s) are studying in their course and what they each need practice with. Parents are provided reports periodically as a way to document student participation in their own learning. Task Tracker is automatically included when students enroll in the program.Calificación
Each student will receive a Task Tracker performance report at the end of each semester.Experiencia de clase

Nivel Beginner
This group is designed for students currently enrolled in a first year HS Physics course taught at a regular level (non-ap/honors). [If you are an AP/Honors student see my other physics club] Class content follows the basic order for most first year physics courses taught in the United States. Every session will begin with a review of the problem solving process: the structure used in solving every physics problems no matter how hard it appears to be. Possible Topics Include (but is not limited to): 1) Kinematics - The study of motion, including visual, mathematical, and graphical models of motion [terminology: vector/scalar, speed/velocity, distance/displacement, acceleration, the kinematic equations, 1D and 2D motion, free fall and projectile motion] 2) Force - The why behind motion, the types of forces, creating and analyzing force diagram, Newton's Laws of Motion, determining net force and friction, forces in 1D and 2D, combining Newton's second law and kinematic equations to solve complex physics problems [Terminology: free body diagram, coefficient of friction, trigonometric ratios]
Metas de aprendizaje
Learning goals are determined by the students - This is a homework/study club lead by a certified teacher.
The goal of this club is to increase a students understanding of physics to improve performance in their high school physics course.
