18 lessons//6 Weeks
 Week 1
Lesson 1
Vectors and Scalars
My lesson is an introduction to physics and in particular vectors and scalars and how they apply to how we measure distances, displacement, speed, velocity, and time.
Lesson 2
Simple acceleration
My lesson is is about a change in velocity, both in terms of direction and in magnitude.
Lesson 3
Complex acceleration
My lesson is about combining acceleration and distance.
 Week 2
Lesson 4
Graphing Practice
My Lesson is about visually showing the relationship between different quantities
Lesson 5
Free Fall
My lesson is about free fall which is a special case in kinematic equations and brings us to forces in the next lesson.
Lesson 6
Dimensional Analysis and Practice
Converting between units, and using dimensions to solve problems
 Week 3
Lesson 7
Newton's 3 Laws
This shifts us from Kinematics to Dynamics. We learn about inertia, force, weight, and action/reaction pairs
Lesson 8
Simple and net forces
Calculate a simple force and the net forces acting on an object. Further distinguish the net force from an action/reaction pair.
Lesson 9
Complex forces
Combining forces with distance and acceleration
 Week 4
Lesson 10
Friction
Learn about the coefficient of friction and how to calculate friction as a force acting on an object.
Lesson 11
Complex Friction
Combine friction with distances and acceleration
Lesson 12
Tension
Calculate the tension acting along a rope or a chain. Solve for both static tension and tension with acceleration.
 Week 5
Lesson 13
Tension and Friction
Calculate the motion of an object that has both a tension and friction attached to it.
Lesson 14
2 Body Problems
Calculate the movement of objects connected by a rope or a chain
Lesson 15
Momentum
Introduction to momentum, including simple momentum and conservation of momentum.
 Week 6
Lesson 16
Conservation of Momentum
Learn about how momentum affects objects that are colliding. Calculate the momentum of an object in an elastic an inelastic collision.
Lesson 17
Momentum Practice Problems
Practice our momentum solving skills
Lesson 18
Review
Review the fundamentals of kinematics, dynamics, and momentum.

  • Students will learn about the scientific method, calculation, models, and basic physics.
I am a science teacher with 9 years of classroom experience with tutoring and lab experience prior to that. I have a Masters of Science degree and a Masters in Education degree. I am currently teaching in Washington State and I hold a Washington State teaching license.

Detalles: Grading is offered for students who require it for class credit.
Students will need rudimentary math skills. They should be able to read a problem assign and solve for a single variable. For example, an object traveled 20 meters per second for 5 seconds. How far did the object go?
