In this class, basic phonics, math and fine motor skills will be modeled and practiced through the use of Play-doh. A variety of strategies and activities will be taught for students to practice the skills presented outside of the class as well. We will solve simple addition and subtraction problems, practice the formation of letters and their sounds and even begin to blend words together using the letters/sounds we practiced. This class will be fun and engaging through hands on learning with Play-doh. Learners will have a chance to interact with the class through the use of videos, games, and visual models. It is recommended that learners have a basic knowledge of letters and their corresponding sounds. Also, each learner will also need to have paper, a writing utensil and Playdoh readily available for the class. I am so excited for you to be apart of my class!
