Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello everyone! 😊 My name is teacher Andrea. I am from a small town in Pennsylvania, located in the USA. I am so excited to be teaching on Outschool for over a year now! I am mother to my 11 year old son, and I have worked with children for well over 10 years. It is truly my passion! From babysitting, to working at a daycare, to full-time nannying, student teaching in elementary schools, school field work, and now, currently I am an online teacher with outschool and also an online ESL Teacher as well. I have taught over 2,595 online classes to date, & I am honored and grateful to have taught over 8,576 students to date! I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-6 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and my associates degree in Early Childhood, as well as my 120 - Hour TEFL certification.
My passion for teaching comes from my love of helping children succeed. I love teaching children the english language, how to read, how to make crafts, and how to learn about the environment through experiments in science. I am also very passionate about play based learning. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, go camping, and spend time with my family, goldendoodle Crosby, and friends. I believe that children learn to love and grow in learning by being comfortable and confident in themselves. Anyone who does anything to help a child in their life, is a hero to me. Please reach out to me with any questions you may have, and make sure to follow my profile for upcoming classes. I can’t wait to share my love of learning with your child! I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to teach your child/children. ❤️ It is a pleasure to welcome you to my classroom, where the magic never stops, and the adventure never ends! ✨
💙 -Teacher Andrea
📓*CLASSROOM RULES!*📓
At the start of every class I tell my students that my number one rule is to please raise their hand if they have a question or if they would like to answer a question. This gives every student an opportunity to speak throughout the class. If they do not wish to speak they do not have to.
📷 CAMERA: To ensure safety and security, ALL of my students are required to turn their cameras on at the beginning of class so that I can check their identity. Once I have checked their identity, they may then turn their camera off again if they wish to do so. If they are not able to turn their camera on for any reason to verify identity, then per Outschool’s policy I will have to remove them from the class.
🔕 MUTING: I prefer to not mute my students at all, however, all students may be muted upon the start of class if needed to prevent background noise and distractions, while we are doing introductions. After introductions, I will unmute all of the students, and then only mute an individual student if I hear excessive background noises or distractions. I like to keep all of my students unmuted as much as possible so that we can have fun and engage in conversations!
👩👧SIBLINGS/MULTIPLE LEARNERS: At this time I am not offering sibling discounts, I am sorry for the inconvenience. Each learner that wants to participate must be enrolled to be fair to other students participating. Per Outschool’s policies for multiple learners in the same class, “Parents are welcome to enroll two or more learners in the same section of a class provided that the class has enough spaces. You will need to enroll each learner separately for the section, but learners are welcome to share a device if that would make it easier to attend class.”
❎ TRANSFERS: I do my best to make class transfers possible, and understand that personal/family emergencies do come up. However, I do ask that you please submit a transfer request from the classroom at least 24 hours in advance. This ensures another student who would like to take the class has enough time to see the opening and enroll. If I am contacted after class, I cannot refund or transfer.
