Individual informal assessments of the essays will be provided to each student.Experiencia de clase
* Please note, this class has pre-recorded lessons. There are no live meetings. This is a great class for busy parents and students who need the flexibility to work on assignments. In this class students will choose a topic that they either want to learn more about or are already passionate about. Students will be given the proper techniques for writing a persuasive essay. We will be using Nearpod (parents will need to approve this resource) n conjunction with Outschool as an interactive approach to writing a persuasive essay. Each week, students will receive a Nearpod link that will include instructions, tips, a poll, and questions. I will provide parents with a detailed document to explain how both programs are used to ensure that your experience is as smooth as possible! Discussion questions will be posted on Sunday evening of each week along with a video in the classroom to ensure an interactive class. Videos will consist of: The rules of writing a persuasive essay, the basics of writing a 5 paragraph essay, how to choose a topic, as well as an overview of the different types of essay. At the end of class, students will share their final products, which I encourage all peers to participate in feedback.
