In this personalized math tutoring class, we will explore a range of topics tailored to meet the unique learning needs of students from grades 6 to 12. Whether you're looking to strengthen foundational skills in pre-algebra or tackle advanced concepts in calculus, each session is designed to build confidence and enhance problem-solving abilities. Students will gain a deeper understanding of math topics aligned with their level and personal goals, focusing on developing critical thinking skills and solidifying essential concepts. We will address any areas where the student feels less confident, strengthening their understanding and equipping them with strategies for future challenges. The curriculum can include, but is not limited to: Pre-Algebra: Arithmetic, basic algebraic expressions, integers, fractions, and decimals Algebra I & II: Linear equations, inequalities, quadratic functions, and polynomials Geometry: Shapes, angles, theorems, proofs, and practical applications Pre-Calculus & Calculus: Limits, derivatives, integrals, and functions Class Structure Each session is tailored to the student’s needs and current curriculum. A typical class includes: A quick review of previous material to reinforce retention Focus on current topics or specific areas the student wishes to improve Time reserved at the end for addressing challenging problems and practicing real-world applications to enhance understanding My teaching style is hands-on, interactive, and engaging. I incorporate real-world examples from my background as an engineer to make complex topics relatable. I use problem-solving exercises, visual aids, and step-by-step demonstrations to clarify challenging concepts. Every class is 100% interactive, fostering direct engagement. Lessons include a blend of discussion, problem-solving, and guided practice. I encourage questions and critical thinking to ensure that each student fully grasps the material. Learners have the flexibility to choose the topics we will cover, which can include Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and more. Students may select areas they want to explore or topics they find challenging. I will identify any comprehension roadblocks and break down problems into manageable pieces tailored to each learner's needs. To make the most of our sessions, learners or their parents must inform me of the chosen topic as far in advance as possible. Additionally, sharing specifics about the learner's experience—whether they're beginning to explore the topic or struggling in another class—will help me gather the right resources for our time together.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I teach a variety of math classes, from basic arithmetic to more advanced topics like calculus and algebra. Whether you're just starting out or need help with something more challenging, I’m here to guide you. I also offer tutoring for physics and engineering-related math.
I’m an Engineer with over four years of experience, and I’ve worked on projects where math plays a key role. I was also a teaching assistant at Carleton University, helping students understand tough concepts.
I believe in patience, encouragement, and adapting my approach to each student. My goal is to help students gain confidence and make learning math less intimidating by breaking down difficult ideas into simple steps.
Outside of teaching, I love exploring new places and figuring out how things work—whether it’s technology or engineering-related stuff. I’m all about making learning fun and relatable!
