Entrenamiento personal: ¡Ejercicio inclusivo y adaptable para todas las capacidades!

Esta clase única está diseñada para que estudiantes (desde principiantes hasta atletas avanzados) reciban orientación individualizada y planes de entrenamiento adaptados a sus necesidades e intereses físicos. ¡También es un espacio de ejercicio alternativo para estudiantes con neurodiversidad!

One short independent workout that they feel confident in doing on their own and/or a plan for future workout classes based on the takeaways from their workout “assessment”

Nivel Beginner - Advanced
This workout class provides an individualized workout session for students of *all abilities*. 

Students will partake in a fun and active “assessment” that evaluates their:
- current exercise habits 
- exercise goals
- strength 
- flexibility 
- endurance
- balance
- coordination
… and is a in and of itself a great workout!

Based on the takeaways and goals of the student, we will come up with a continuation plan (a short independent workout that they feel confident in doing on their own and/or a plan for future workout classes). 

General class schedule:
1. Warm up physically and get to know each other 
2. “Assessment” of basic movements 
3. Exercises tailored to student
4. Cool down and discussion of exercise plan 

*This class is adaptable can serve as an alternative exercise environment for those who might have difficulty with physical activity in traditional settings (PE classes, gyms, sport teams etc.). There is no requirement for verbal or physical ability. For some students, a parent/guardian/support staff may be recommended. Please reach out to me with specific situations and/or questions and I’d be happy to discuss how we can make this class serve your learner!

I am a personal trainer and athlete who specializes in adaptive, inclusive physical education. I teach 1:1 and group classes for neurodiverse people including those with: Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, and more.
Orientación para padres
Please make sure your student has a safe space to move around that can withstand a bit of jumping. Adequate footwear (or barefoot if you are comfortable with this) is required.

Minimum: small workout space, water, chair, adequate footwear

Optional: workout mat, dumbbells (or something heavy like books or water bottles), resistance bands, cones (alternative markers: shoes, stuffed animals…)
Recursos externos

I am a passionate athlete and personal trainer who loves creating adaptive, rewarding, and fun fitness classes. For the last year and a half, I worked at Zooz Fitness, a gym in Los Angeles for athletes of all abilities. At Zooz, first and foremost I learned the importance of building relationships with the athletes I trained. Progress is made only once we have created a foundation of trust. I learned to design and lead individual and group workouts for neurotypical and neurodiverse people (including but not limited to people with: Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and Epilepsy) of all ages. I have also worked at multiple sport summer camps for people with disabilities. 

Additionally, I am a competitive athlete. I have played ultimate frisbee for over 10 years competing on the national level in the high school, college, and adult club divisions. I currently play for Flipside, a women’s adult club team based out of Southern California that is ranked 5th in the nation. From my experience playing, coaching (summer camps), and captaining (HS and college) ultimate frisbee and my personal training work experience, I know how to: create workout environments where everyone feels valued, prevent injuries, and design effective training plans.
