Whether you’ve been writing for years or just picking up the pen, there’s no right or wrong way to create poetry—only your way. Through guided exercises, engaging prompts, and open discussion, we’ll explore different styles of poetry, rhythm, and free-flow writing. Our goal? To paint vivid pictures with words, express emotions authentically, and find confidence in self-expression. This class encourages self-expression through poetry, which may involve personal storytelling and emotions. While students are free to write about their experiences, all discussions will be conducted in a supportive and respectful manner.
Some students may choose to explore themes of identity, emotions, or personal challenges in their poetry. The instructor will guide discussions to ensure a safe and uplifting space for all learners.
There will be no required media content with official ratings. Any optional poetry examples shared will be age-appropriate and suitable for teens.
