Learn the key parts to a paragraph. Develop and strengthen their abilities to write a 5 - 8 sentence paragraphs. Develop editing & revising skills as part of the writing process. Practice oral language and social skills through learner interactions.

I am looking forward to helping your child develop a well-written paragraph. I have taught in the classroom for over 12 years and also worked as an elementary school librarian for 4 years. I enjoy making learning fun and work to engage students in the learning process. My enthusiastic personality and ability to connect with all learners helps to create a positive learning environment. Providing opportunities for student voice and choice gives them ownership over their work. Additionally, with my Master's in Reading as well as my National Board Certification, I am always implementing best practices and literacy to my teaching!  This is a great class to build the foundations for writing as a good paragraph can be applied to all subject areas.

Detalles: As stated in the course description, I will provide an additional writing prompt/assignment for your learner to work on at home. The weekly challenge will be connected to the skills taught that week and our prompt. I will check and provide any feedback on your learner's writing if submitted to me.

Students should be able to write a sentence with 6 or more words and be ready to move onto paragraph writing.
