1 hora por semana. While there is no assigned homework, all painters work at their own pace. Artists who do not complete the paintings during class time will be encouraged to continue working outside of class.Experiencia de clase
"I decided that if I could paint that flower in a huge scale, you could not ignore it's beauty." Georgia O'Keefe Each lesson will consist of time learning about a particular female artist, her style, her life, and studying her artwork. After that, young artists will follow a step by step art lesson creating painting inspired by the artwork studied. In each lesson artists will learn techniques related to beginning fundemental art techniques, as well as elements of art and principles of design. Monday: Berthe Morisot Tuesday: Mary Cassat Wednesday: Frida Khalo Thursday: Georgia O'Keefe We will be painting using acrylic paints. Learners should have at least the primary colors, red, yellow, blue, plus white and black. While I will be guiding the artists step by step in each painting project, creativity and artistic expression are always encouraged. The class encourages sharing and collaboration with fellow artists.

I am a mom to 5 amazing kids, ages 17, 15, 14, 11, and 9. I've taught art classes for over 25 years and have worked with all ages. I am excited to reach out to even more students on this Outschool. I believe with Pablo Picasso that, "Every child is an artist." And my goal as an art teacher is to make sure we all have the desire and confidence to keep being creative and enjoy a life full of learning. Because just as Picasso said, "The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
I homeschool my 3 youngest children for several years, and now all 5 are home with me. I love teaching them art and history. I love using my passion for history to teach how the events of our past have shaped our future.
When I am not teaching, our family travels. I love to travel to see the original art I study and teach about, and the geography that has inspired artists and influenced our history.Reseñas
