The purpose of this course will be to teach the student about the P 38 Lightning aircraft, its historical significance during World War II, facts about the different variants of the aircraft, and how the aircraft was used around the world. The focus will be on the historical facts about this aircraft and how it served in the war as an air-to-air interceptor and multi-role fighter that did very well, especially against the Japanese Zero. There will be an attached note-taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information in this course. There is also a short You-Tube video of the P 38 aircraft and history during WWII. The teacher's desire is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions. There will be no assigned homework in this class, and the teaching style will be lecture via powerpoint material with a few questions asked of the students.

There will bo no overt violence discussed or viewed in the class. Also, there will be a short You Tube video shown in class and no outside viewing or obtaining an account is not necessary.

There is a two-page note taker for the student if they desire to print out and use during class. This is optional.
