I have more than thirty years' experience teaching first grade at one of the most well-regarded public elementary schools in Atlanta. In addition to my B.A. in Early Childhood Education, I have a M.Ed. in Elementary Education and Teaching and am gifted certified. I was a teacher at an International Baccalaureate school, and I am also well-versed in the I.B. Primary Years curriculum.

While my classes consistently score well above-average on standardized testing, I am much more focused on helping children become lifelong learners. I am especially passionate about teaching reading and math, and the pandemic allowed me to develop effective virtual methods to teach these vital subjects to young learners. This platform allows me to teach proven math and reading lessons that we will all enjoy together.

I have recently left full-time public education. I am spending my time tutoring kids in grades pre-k through 5th grades.
