45 minutos horas de clase por semanaTarea
1 hora por semana. Each week we will have a homework sheet(s) to be completed outside of class. We will discuss this during class. We will review the homework answers at the beginning of the next lesson. Homework is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. It should only take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.Evaluación
I will check in with the parents if the learner is struggling in a specific area. I always welcome questions/comments during the semester.Experiencia de clase

Grado de EE. UU. 3
This ongoing course covers third grade math. It has a total of 24 weeks. It is ongoing, so you may join/leave any week. Each week is a different math objective. My classes are interactive and fun. Learners should be familiar with place value (ones, tens, hundreds), addition/subtraction, telling time, measuring and estimating length, representing and interpreting data, geometry, and word problems. I like to engage the children and we all problem solve together. I use props, a whiteboard, and fun animated PowerPoint slides during my lessons. I always encourage learner interaction and I check in occasionally with a thumb's up to make sure there are no questions before we proceed. I will send out a worksheet, homework or other material to be printed each week. I will also let you know if there are other materials that are needed for the week. The topics for this semester cover: **The new Sunday section will start from the beginning** Week of August 12: Properties of Addition/addition to 1,000 Week of August 19: Subtraction/addition with regrouping Week of August 26: Addition/subtraction with regrouping Week of September 2: Addition/subtraction with regrouping Week of September 9: Introduction to multiplication/division Week of September 16: Properties of multiplication Week of September 23: Multiplication/division within 100 Week of September 30: Multiplication/division within 100 Week of October 7: Multiplication/division word problems Week of October 14: Introduction to fractions Week of October 21: Fractions on a number line Week of October 28: Fractions: simple equivalents Week of November 4: Fractions: comparing 2 fractions Week of November 11: Time to nearest minute Week of November 18: Elapsed time Week of November 25: Measurement and data: gram/kilogram Week of December 2: Measurement and data: liter/milliliter Week of December 9: Represent and interpret data Week of December 16: Area Week of December 23: Area Week of December 30: Perimeter Week of January 6: Shapes and their attributes Week of January 13: Shapes and area Week of January 20: Place value, rounding

Licenciatura en Psicología desde Mount Holyoke College
Hello! My name is Erin Howard. I love teaching young learners. My passion is to help your young learner gain the knowledge and confidence in their basic math skills. My math classes focus on skills such as solving word problems, learning math fact families, place value, telling time, geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
I have my bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College. I have owned a home daycare, privately tutored students in math, and was a teaching assistant in college. I have taught over 8,000 classes online.
My goal is to bring fun, excitement, and passion into my classroom. It is important for young learners to be engaged, actively participate, and enjoy learning. This builds the foundation of how they will view their journey for knowledge in the future. I know I have accomplished this goal when my students continue to return to my classroom, and I see their personal improvement and how proud they are of their progress.
Outside of work, I am a mother of five children, and I have three grandchildren. My children are my pride and joy. My youngest two children are twins. They are nineteen years old and they are sophomores in college. We enjoy cooking, baking, playing with our dog, watching movies, shopping, and taking trips to visit new places.
I look forward to this journey with you and your young learner. I will see you in the classroom.
