At this level, students should be prepared to practice 10-20 minutes per day outside of class. While I know this may not be possible all the time, I try to develop a practice plan for each student to help them reach their goals.Experiencia de clase
This ongoing oboe lessons class is perfect for beginning oboe players looking for a consistent lesson weekly lesson time. Each week, we'll focus first on their school music (if any), and then move into playing oboe specific music. Topics covered will be based on the individual student's needs, however at this level that usually includes such topics as note reading, rhythms, reinforcing correct embouchure and pitch, learning new notes to increase our range, and then incorporating those into the music. Most importantly. I acknowledge that each student is unique, and approach each issue in their playing differently. I strive to tailor how each issue is approached and resolved, based on individual learning style and previous experiences.

Licenciatura en Música desde University of Hartford
I hold a Master's Degree in Oboe Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of music at California State University, Long Beach. My Bachelor's Degree, also in Oboe Performance, is from the Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut. While there I studied with oboist Humbert Lucarelli.
I have extensive experience teaching private and group lessons, including lessons in Oboe, Piano, English Horn, Reed Making, and Music Theory. My students have gone on to win scholarships and place in honor orchestras across the country. I am also a current member of MTAC (Music Teacher's Association of California), and my students are eligible to complete their Certificate of Merit program.
Locally, I have performed with the Dana Point Symphony, Symphony Irvine, as well as other groups around Southern California. Previously, I was a long time member of the Cheshire Symphony.
