Lesson 1
Introduction to Japanese
Getting to know the language with fundamental terms, learn the first 2 lines of hiragana (10 hiragana in total).
Lesson 2
The Sound, Pronunciation and Special Symbols
Learn how to pronounce hiragana, how to read hiragana with special symbols, learn the third and fourth line of hiragana (10 hiragana in total).
Lesson 3
Greetings & Self-Introduction
Learn the appropriate greetings for different situations. Learn the fifth and the sixth line of hiragana (10 hiragana in total).
Lesson 4
Learn how to count up to 99!
Learn how to count up to 99, and talk about one's age. Learn the seventh and the eighth line of hiragana (8 hiragana in total).
Lesson 5
Talk about family!
Learn how to talk about family members. We'll also learn the last 8 hiragana to complete our learning of all hiragana.
  • Students will learn to read and write simple Japanese. Students will be able to introduce themselves and family members, and friends. Students will be able to count up to at least 100.
Certified teacher for Japanese (EC-12), Mandarin(EC-12) and Art(EC-12).  I grew up speaking Japanese, Mandarin and Taiwanese, so I have no problem mixing them up to meet your need. Many years of freelance tutoring experience for Japanese and Mandarin have helped me teaching all levels of Japanese including Pre-AP and AP classes at my former employment at a public high school.

Detalles: Assessments may be offered with a written request in advance. I will be able to conduct informal assessment based on learner's participation as well as from the learner's written work from class assignment.

Printers at home will be helpful to have writing practice printed.
