Welcome to One-on One Tutoring! In this class your student will be assessed using a formal running record, developmental spelling test, and comprehension check.

In the first lesson (this one), your student will be assessed formally. After the lesson, I'll email you with the strengths and opportunities for growth based on the assessments. The parents and I will decide on the tutoring schedule and what skills are a priority. The lesson can be multiple times a week for 25 or 50 minutes, working on different skills in the area of reading, spelling, and writing. The tutoring lessons will be interactive lessons with the students doing hands-on activities and typically not realizing they are learning. 

I'll write individualized lessons for the student based on the students needs. The parent and I will continue to communicate on the student's growth and the skills which need additional assistance. The parent will receive an email after each lesson of what was worked on and how the student did in the lesson.

If a class needs to be cancelled or rescheduled, I'm happy to do so if notified at least 48 hours in advance. If a class is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, the Outschool policy will be followed and I'm not able to refund the cost or provide a makeup date.
