Does your elementary student hate reading or struggle to comprehend the text? This class is designed to support students on an individual basis by assessing where they are and building up their reading skills and confidence. I will engage them in fun and interactive lessons so they can grow in their skills in a supportive environment. 

In the first lesson, we will take some time to establish rapport as I get to know the student and his/her reading abilities. Then in following lessons, we will practice reading at the level the student needs support in. We will practice reading fluency, sight words, reading comprehension, prediction, and vocabulary skills. Lessons are planned for once a week but can be increased if needed.
