Tutoring will be tailored to the needs of each individual student. I take time to get to know students so that I can leverage their prior knowledge to learn and reinforce new math topics. Students are welcome to bring in any assignments they would like help with. I can also put together practice problems or a lesson about a particular topic if you let me know ahead of time. Some tools and curricula/textbooks I am familiar with include: Common Core standards, Open Up Resources / Illustrative Math, Desmos, IXL, Big Ideas, Stewart's Calculus, Open Stax

I hold a Washington state teaching certification with an endorsement in secondary mathematics, as well as a Master in Teaching degree from the Evergreen State College. I have been tutoring math since 2016, working with grade levels from 3rd grade up to Calculus. I have also worked in public schools for 4 years, as a paraeducator supporting elementary and high school students with disabilities, as a student teacher in a 6th grade math classroom, and as a substitute teacher.Reseñas
