Experiencia de clase

In this fun, interactive class students will get to help me make up an Octonauts story in which they get to help the Octonauts. After the story, we will talk about our favorite parts of the story and play a few active games with an Octonauts theme. The number of games played may vary based on the number of students signed up for the class but may include:

- Octonauts search and rescue (a scavenger hunt)
- Octonauts Dance Party (a freeze dance game)
- Guess that sea animal
- Sea animal charades

All of my classes are designed to fully include students of all abilities. If your student needs any accommodations or has any needs I should be aware of please reach out to me before class so that we can work together to ensure the best possible class experience for your student.

Perfil
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
My name is Gabrielle, I started teaching sewing lessons when I was a homeschool senior. I taught classes at a local home school group and discovered I had a passion for teaching. When I was 19 I discovered I was most likely autistic and was able to get an official diagnosis at 21. For me, this was a revelation and explained so much. It meant I was able to seek out others like me and was a huge game-changer for me.

For over 10 years now I have been teaching in different capacities and working with children with different disabilities and differences. I have been an in-home caregiver for a physically disabled child, a preschool teacher, a teacher's aid, a tutor and have been teaching online since January 2020. I also have an Associates' degree in special education.

I am proud to be autistic. This doesn't mean I don't have struggles but I firmly believe that we all have strengths and weaknesses. I strive to give all of my students a safe and welcoming place. All of my classes are inclusive which means students of all abilities are welcome. If your student needs any accommodations please let me know and we will work together to ensure the best possible class experience.
